In September, 2012, Mr. Sim with his family (Singapore), came to Siem Reap for tour to visit the temple of Angkor and they had an opportunity to learn about the Clean Water & Education Project (CWEP). I took them to visit the site of the project to see the well was installing at the beneficiary's house. On their return, Mr. Sim with his family had generous in supporting the CWEP by contributing the funds for two constructions of water wells to survive the poor people of Cambodian in needs in the rural area to get the clean water to drink from the pump wells.

After received the contributions, the CWEP teams started to install the well for the families to have a clean water before the heavy flooding to come. Finally, just over two weeks after getting the funds the two wells of Mr. Sim and family with other wells are completely finished and the families are now drinking the clean water from the new wells while the flooding is coming. Each wells is installed on the own property of a family by they sharing the water with the families around or can be sharing with the whole community.

The beneficiaries are very happy to have the new deep pump wells with clean water. As previously, during the dry season which occurs from November to April, they drank the water from the hole dug in the depth of 2 meters deep, but with this deep the water is not clean, it is a muddy water, they must get sick. In the rainy season which happens from May to October which the heavy flooding occurs during September and October, the flooding must be covers the wells that the dug as a hole in 2 meters deep, and the flooding also runs under their houses. No muddy water from the hole to drink anymore. Now and a gain, there is only a worst solution to survive their living is drinking the flooding water or the rain water. This way still bad for their stomach as drinking unclean water. This was their habitual as they have no money to install the wells on their own as their income is very limited for their foods.

Everyday of previous time, the laundry, swimming, drinking, cooking...etc., were used the flooding or the pond which can be accommodated them just in a short time, then the dry and brown is coming in a long a while that made them just try to find the water and dig a hole. The water from the hole could not be afford them for the crops or rice plantation during the dry season. This is a big problem for them with no foods because of have no water. Fortunately, you were there in time to help. They are now they have clean water in every seasons. They can plant some crops nearby the wells for sustaince their daily foods and improve their family economic to be better living from generating the crops and sell them to the market. They would have good health from drinking the clean water from the deep pump well.

Thank you very much to Mr. Sim with your entire family that have generous to support the CWEP providing the clean water to the poor families to have a clean drinking. On the behalf of a CWEP Director/Coordinator with the Internatinal Fundraisers Teams and the Cambodian people, we are really appreciate to your generous support Cambodian poor people in needs. As the CWEP is continuing and spreading the new targets within Siem Reap rural areas in order to continue to survive more people in needs. We would greatly appreciate and looking for your continue support. By the way, GOD may bring you and your entire family with the best wish, happiness in the year to come.
